Professor Virtualization wants to focus on some of the main benefits of virtualizing in today’s business world. There are many but we are going to focus on a few of the main ones. First let’s talk about money savings. This is a big one in a down economy, how can we save money? The answer is virtualize. It saves on many areas such as: capex, opex, lost man hours and energy cost. This is a tremendous monetary savings in a time where budgets are always tight and being reduced. How can you do more with less? Virtualize!

The second area is the future. If you are talking about ongoing maintenance or constant upgrading of systems, then virtualizing will give the most benefit into the future. We all want to be around in 10 years and still be profitable, thinking with the future in mind, what is the best way to get there? Make yourself and your company as streamline as possible. The best way to future-proof your business is to virtualize.

The last main area we would like to touch on is energy consumption and the green movement. Virtualization allows for a significant reduction in energy cost – less servers, less storage, massive reduction. Ask any business in the United States: If you could be more green, protect the environment AND reduce overall expenses, would you be interested in something like that? What do you think the answer would be!!

Pro V screams, “If you aren’t part of the solution then you are part of the problem!”
