Systems Engineer – Virtualization:
Position requires initial training period to become qualified as a Virtualization Systems Engineer. Training involves designing, building, administering, maintaining and troubleshooting complex VMware environments for test and production use. Successful completion of training will result in certification as a VMware Technical Sales Professional (VTSP) and those achieving top ratings will be selected to receive follow-on training as VMware Certified Professionals (VCP).
Candidates should have some prior networking experience. Ideal candidates have education and experience in core networking concepts including Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Domain Name Service (DNS), Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), and Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs). Position requires excellent customer relations, oral and written skills and a demonstrated capability for sound decision making. Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team with the ability to manage time and resources to meet assigned deadlines.
Following training period and certification as a VCP, positions will involve placement onsite at customer facilities.
Positions may also involve participation and support of periodic virtualization educational workshops. Top performers will also have the opportunity to rotate through the advanced software development group, depending on company needs/requirements.
